Pastor Peter's Bible Insights
Daniel Chapter Seven

Chapter 7:14-28

Vs. 14  The Kingdom of God multi-ethnic.

Vs. 15  Daniel was overwhelmed by what he saw.

Vs. 16  While he could interpret visions for others, he needed help interpreting the
           vision that he received.

Vs. 17  When Scripture is interpreted by Scripture, our task as teachers and
           preachers is greatly aided.

Vs. 19  Clearly Daniel knew that the last kingdom was not like any of the others that
he had been shown.  His question is answered in verse 23.

Vs. 23  The future kingdom will be worldwide.
It will be comprised of a federation of ten nations.

Vs. 24  The fundamental principles of Judeo-Christian civil law will be altered. Daniel is
given his first glimpse of a future period called “Time, times and half a time.”
Daniel will receive more information on the strange expression and write about
it in his twelfth chapter.  There we learn that this period covers three and a half
           years.

                                        "Times" equals one year.
                                        "Times” equals two years.
“Half a time” is six months.

Vs. 26  At the end of this period the leader of the 10-nation federation that has
subdued the world will be judged and destroyed.

Vs. 27  Daniel’s spirit was once again lifted when he was shown another picture of the
           final, righteous kingdom.
